The most convenient station is Charles-de-Gaulle-Étoile, which is served by lines 1, 2, and 6. The station is located directly beneath the monument, offering immediate access to the site.

You can reach the monument using several bus lines, including 22, 30, 31, 52, 73, 92, and the Balabus. These stops are located around the Place Charles de Gaulle, allowing you to arrive close to the pedestrian underpasses.

The RER A line is a fast option for reaching the monument, stopping at the Charles-de-Gaulle-Étoile station. This is particularly useful if you are traveling from the suburbs or major hubs across the city.

If you are driving from outside Paris, the recommended exits are Porte Maillot (via Avenue de la Grande-Armée) or Porte Dauphine (via Avenue Foch). Driving around the Etoile roundabout can be challenging, so plan your parking in advance.

For cyclists, there are several Vélib' stations located on nearby streets, including rue Arsène Houssaye, avenue Hoche, rue Beaujon, rue Balzac, and rue Traktir.

To enter the monument, you must use the Passage du Souvenir (underground walkway) located at the top of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées or the Avenue de la Grande-Armée. Please do not attempt to cross the roundabout on the surface, as it is strictly for vehicle traffic and very dangerous.

There is an elevator, but it is reserved exclusively for visitors with reduced mobility or disabilities. Most visitors are required to climb 284 steps to reach the terrace for the panoramic view.

Also, the elevator does not go up to the terrace. It only goes up to the museum/shop floor. From there, you still have to climb about 40-50 steps to reach the roof.

Strollers are not allowed inside the monument, though they can be left with staff at the entrance. Regarding luggage, bags larger than 40x40x20cm are prohibited, and there are no lockers or luggage storage facilities available on-site.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier lies beneath the central arch of the Arc de Triomphe, where an eternal flame commemorates the unidentified French soldiers who perished during World War I. Beneath this ground level, at the underground level, the Passage du Souvenir provides a pedestrian tunnel that connects the monument to the Champs-Élysées and the Avenue de la Grande Armée. This subterranean area also contains the ticket office, the souvenir shop, and security checkpoints that visitors must pass through before ascending the structure.
